Acceptable Use Policy

1. What this policy covers

  1. This policy sets out what you may and may not do with PicRework. It applies to everything you do with the service, including the images you process and export. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
  2. The service is a deterministic image-processing tool: it converts an image on your device into a halftone style. It is not generative AI — there is no prompt, no image model is called, and no new content is created beyond your own image. All processing runs in your browser, so the image is not uploaded, not stored and never passes through our servers — we never see or review it.

2. Prohibited uses

  1. Sexualised content involving minors, or child sexual exploitation material in any form.
  2. Pornographic, explicit or sexually suggestive content, and any other NSFW material.
  3. Violent or terrorist propaganda, or content that incites hatred or discrimination.
  4. Processing anyone’s likeness without their consent, or using the service to stalk, harass or humiliate another person.
  5. Forging identity documents, certificates, invoices or currency, and any content intended to deceive or mislead.
  6. Processing images you have no right to use — infringing copyright, trademark or other rights.
  7. Any unlawful activity, or facilitating it.

3. Abusing the service

  1. Circumventing free-tier limits, bulk-registering accounts, calling the service from automated scripts, or reselling it.
  2. Reverse engineering, cracking, attempting to obtain server-side source code, or attacking the service.
  3. Interfering with other users’ use of the service in any way.

4. Your responsibilities

  1. You are fully responsible for the images you process, and warrant that you hold the necessary rights to them. Because images never leave your device, we cannot assess that for you — this clause relies on your compliance.
  2. You must comply with the laws of your jurisdiction, this policy and our Terms of Service.

5. What we may do

  1. If an account breaches this policy we may suspend or terminate it, and report it to the competent authorities where the law requires.
  2. Where abuse causes us liability or loss, we may seek compensation as permitted by law.
  3. If you find someone using the service to produce unlawful content, report it to us using the contact details below.
